Finding a job can be a challenge.  Career Services is here to help you every step of the way.  Whether you are looking for a part-time job while attending OSU, or seeking your ideal career in the "real world," we are there to help you.  For specific tips on each type of employment you may be seeking, please visit the Student Employment, Internship, and Post-Graduation Employment Sections.

The HIRE System
Screenshot of HIRE SystemHireOSUGrads.com's Internet Resource for Employment (or the HIRE System) is one of many tools that job seekers should utilize to locate employment.  When seeking a job, be sure to also expand your job search to include other methods of finding employment, like career fairs, classified ads, networking, to name a few.

The HIRE System is used to post part-time, work-study, full-time, internship, and co-op job opportunities and to manage the on-campus interviewing process. The system links employers with students for job searches.

All OSU-Stillwater students and OSU-Tulsa students and alumni less than one year out, automatically have an account. Alumni and OSU-Okmulgee and OSU-OKC students may join the HIRE System through a subscription service.

The HIRE System gives you:
» The ability to search and apply for positions with hundreds of employers using resumes that may be customized for each position
» Access to employer information for any employer that has recruited at OSU, even if they are not currently advertising a position
» An online calendar with interview dates, application deadlines, information sessions and Career Services workshops and events
» The ability to upload your resume, allowing employers to find you when actively searching for candidates

Reminder
: Students should not rely on the HIRE System as their only method of securing employment. There are many ways of looking for jobs or internships. Career services has identified a variety of methods for conducting your job search. Some of these methods are more successful than others depending on what type of position you are seeking, your major, and your location preference. We recommend using a combination of methods and not relying on only one method. We also encourage you to visit your academic College Career Consultant to discuss which methods are best for you.
